    Presentation proposals are now being accepted for the first annual Data Governance Conference, scheduled for December 4-6, 2006, Orlando, Florida.

    The conference is produced by DebTech International and Wilshire Conferences and sponsored by DAMA International.

    We are interested in proposals that focus on case studies, lessons learned, success stories, strategies and methodologies related to data governance. We encourage novice presenters as well as professional presenters to submit proposals for this event.

    Suggested topics include but are not limited to the following:

    * Best practices in data governance
    * Approaches and methodologies for data governance
    * Data governance and Master Data Management
    * Building the business case and identifying the drivers for data governance
    * Assessing organization readiness for data governance

    * Using data governance to align the business and IT

    The Meta-Data Professional Organization (MPO) is a non-profit, international professional association comprised of business and IT professionals in all areas of meta-data practice, including administrators, developers, architects and managers.

    The MPO brings together individuals with interests, expertise, or hands-on experience in meta-data use from all areas of private and public enterprise throughout the world and seeks to disseminate technical and professional information to meta-data practitioners of all levels of experience.

    The MPO provides meta-data professionals with a community that fosters discussion, advancement and increased understanding of meta-data as it is applied in the field.
